May I enroll in a class/course anytime?

Yes, you may enroll online 24/7 for any class/course that has not started yet. Please ensure your availability before enrolling, as it is mandatory for 100% attendance

What are the eligibility requirements to be a security officer in Florida?

In order to perform the services of a security officer in Florida, a Class “D” license is required. You must be at least 18 years old. Be a citizen or legal resident alien of the United States, or have been granted authority to work in this country. You must successfully complete 40 hours of professional training provided by a licensed security officer school. Apply for your license at Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS).

Will staff be available for my enrolled courses?

Yes, you may contact your instructor anytime during class and standard business hours.

Can I use my phone to take a course?

We recommend using a computer or tablet, but you may also use your phone. Video and audio is required, so please make sure your device is capable of both.

Are you licensed by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services?

Yes, Domestic Security Training Academy is licensed by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS). We are a licensed "DS" school with "DI" and "K" licensed instructors.

What is your refund policy?

Please ensure your availability before enrolling, as 100% attendance is mandatory. Refunds are only possible under the following conditions: 1.) The class/course is not scheduled to start within the next 24 hours. 2.) You must request the refund by calling us at least 5 days before the class/course start date. If the class/course has already started and you are unable to attend, refunds will not be issued. However, you may contact us to reschedule for a different class/course start date. *A $25.00 cancellation fee will be charged. Please read our full REFUND POLICY.
